Special Thanks to a Giving Community

Kohl’s, a popular Laredo department store, is the ideal corporate friend of our CAC. Encouraged by store manager, Johnny Ramos, Kohl’s associates are constant assistants at our monthly Play Days. At this recent event, Janel Longoria,CAC Play Therapy Coordinator, is flanked by Kohl’s volunteers, on the left Nemecio Martinez and Johnny Ramos, and on the right Nora Moreno and Sergio de los Santos.

A caring community is not limited to the professionals in law enforcement and the judicial system that provide assistance to the child victims of child abuse. Volunteers also play a vital role in the success of the Children’s Advocacy Center’s work. Among those caring individuals is Hilda Garcia, one of the many Kohl’s volunteers who consistently give of their spare time to assist with Play Days, special events, and fundraising efforts.
